Craft With Me Weekend December Daily Post 4. Altered Paper Clips

 Earlier today we talked about choosing a Color Pallet. 

I mentioned That in my Modern Pink and Bright Green Palette that the Subway Art Paper challenged me . . . 

I figured out a way to use a bit of it. 

All because Tricey committed on Paper Clips. 

So let's talk about Altered Paper Clips. 
 They are fun and add an interesting element to your project. 

And a great way to use scraps.  
I chose to use the Silver Paperclips I have so I could keep the Red ones plain and undecorated. 


My husband went to Kroger and found marked down Roses.  They are almost gone but I can enjoy them today.   

I decorated several Paper Clips
I used the Subway Art Paper
And a sticker. I layered a sparkly paper for Bling.   I glued a bit of lace to the bottom of the Sweater.  

I am happy how they all turned out.   This was a favorite. 

A close up shows a bit of lace a red fiber.  A teeny tiny scrap of music paper. 

This one has lace.  I put on a Christmas Card to show.  I plan to repurpose the card. 

My favorite.  Just music and lace tied to the paperclip.  I have Green and Pink Fibers I am thinking of adding to the lace. 
What do you think? 

I plan to make another one from red paper in the center.  I looks like a sweater to me.

May 1 Going to Church w/Mama

  I only remember bits and pieces of going to church wuth MaMa & Daddy of course.   I remember the building.  I remember seeing my daddy standing under the big tree at the edge of the parking lot with a few other men.  I remember MaMa helping with 2 and 3 year olds in Sunday School. What I really remember most is MaMa carrying her white Bible. She always carried a Kleenex in it.  MaMa didn't wear a hat or stole but the picture just is kind of my vision of what it was like.     I brought that Bible home with me when she passed.  My plan is to save it formy grand daughter.   I would have been 9 when Daddy gave MaMa this Bible.  I wish I had a picture of MaMa with that white Bible.  I may not gave alot of actual memories of church prior to being in thw youth group.  I do remember VBS but that is another post for later this month.  My memories are cloudy but the truth of God's love that I learned is Rea...

Turkey Tracks -- Why They Wander

 This month our group is remembering MaMa and Grandma.  For many those memories revolve a cherished quilt.   A cherished family heirloom.   For many thier memories are of MaMa and Grandma hand stitching a quilt.  I have no such fond memories.  It's fine. Because I never actually thought about it.  What you don't know about you can't miss it or crave it.  When my daughter was in 2nd grade I began making our own family heirlooms and memories.   They are not the same 'Real' Heirlooms as those hand stiched but they are 'Ours'.  She and I love the quilts I have made her and my grandchildren.   In planning for this month we knew one of our topics had to focus on quilts and our memories of MaMa and Grandma.  I went to a book The Quilt Life for inspiration.  I read about the pattern Turkey Tracks.  I had heard of it.  Seen it before but didn't know 'about it'  I learned the pattern is involved in...
