  The Savior of the World And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Luke 2:16 There's no one like Christ the Lord. He's the Savior of the world, the Lamb of God, the Wonderful Counselor, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. The Bible uses more than 300 names and titles to describe Him, but Jesus can no more be contained in His names and titles than the ocean can be bottled in a collection of containers, however beautiful. He is timeless and boundless, and His infinity extends through the universe into perpetual depths of forever-ness. Charles Spurgeon confessed, "I know my words cannot honor Him according to His merits: I wish they could. Indeed, I grow less and less satisfied with my thoughts and language concerning Him. He is too glorious for my feeble language to describe Him. If I could speak with the tongues of men and of angels, I could not speak worthily of Him.   Purple lights in the canyon is where I roam.  Where the early morning sun hits the sage. Where the birds sing crisp and clear, while the sun is peaking through the brims of the hills.  The only thing that is heard is the conversation between God and I. The only thing known is that He blesses my life yet another day. Doing what I love as my horse tops the brim of the canyon. Their breathe touching the crisp air and piercing the silence.  It’s heaven on earth. Nothing can compare to this silence while the world spins a hundred miles around us. This is where we long to be.  Living life anywhere where the purple light touches the brim of the canyon and the crisp air warms our hearts.               

  5 Minute Friday-Afraid Oh no what a word to write about. Afraid....typing for 5 minutes no thinking, no editing. Just writing what's on my mind. That is scary....it makes me Afraid . . . Go. . . Father God you know what makes me Afraid. You know the struggles I have with where I am going. No they aren't struggles they are fears. Fears that I am doing the right thing. I am Afraid I am missing your will. Your calling for me. For now. For this time. I am Afraid that I will move forward and realize that I made a mistake. That I was leading. That I wasn't following where you wanted this Journey to go. Afraid that in taking the wrong direction that I'll miss a Blessing. But more importantly miss the opportunity to Be a blessing. I am Afraid. But I trust. I move forward. I make change. Even though I am Afraid. I trust and I pray that you'll take it all. . . whatever it is and use it for your glory.

I love to sit outside on my patio listening to the cardinals sing as they get their breakfast at our bird feeder. I enjoy smelling the freshness in the air and marvelling at the creation of the brilliant heavenly blue morning glories climbing my fence. It’s almost like they smile at me with their huge faces. I smile back. When I look at them, I see one thing. Joy. But joy wasn’t always there. Many mornings I didn’t feel like smiling. Inside, I was wilting like a flower without water. Happiness was zapped out of me after my husband left. I wondered if I would ever get it back. Anger crept in and took me to a place of bitterness.
