Sewing a Reversible Apron

See cutting instructions and fabric information in the fb post.   https://www.facebook.com/groups/2197904716944207/permalink/6328618333872804/?mibextid=Nif5oz Sewing the ties . . . You will take each section (2 sides & 2 neck)  Fold the long edges in half right (correct or pretty) sides facing (or touching)  Pin along the long edges.  Using the right edge of pressure foot as your guide . . . . Sew the long edges.  Pivot and sew across 1 short edge.  Trim the corners and ends carefully.   Turn  using a chop stitck poke into the end pushing it so that it is going inside tide.  This is tedious to start.  Keep poking and pulling the tie down until the end shows.  End beginning to show.  The end is out.  Continue pulling it out.  If you have a steam iron press the ties flat.  Using the tip of the iron to push against the seams.  The next photo shows a mistake.  I attached the neck ties wrong   . . .   See how the tie is laying away from the apron?   I had to use a seam ripper to unsew

Morning Prayer & Faith on the Farm Todays Devotional

Image
Hello.  Today I have fun devotional for you from the book that Author Jessie Gussman gifted our group.   For those that didn't get a free copy the book is available in Amazon.  Click  Here The devotional today is read by the Author.    https://youtu.be/59f2w8hRklI

Pay For It Cover It Fa8th 9n the Farm Debo.

As I read the devotions in the book Faith on the Farm.  One caught my eye and reminded me of a hymn . . .  Grace, grace, God’s grace, Grace that will pardon and cleanse within; Grace, Grace, God’s grace, Grace that is greater than all our sin!  And that last line smacked me down!   Jessie's devotion reminds us . . .  When we love someone (and God commands us to love everyone - and not by the world's definition of love) we cover their sin with love. It doesn't mean we hide it.  It means we PAY for it.  And, of course, I don't mean that we're going to go get crucified, although that's our example, right? It means when someone is mean or unkind, when they cheat or steal, when they don't live up to Christ's standard, we take the pain, bear the hurt, give them grace - pay for it from our emotional and spiritual store - and don't require anything in return.  That's showing love.  Their unkindness, their inconsideration, their thievery, their betrayal,

Scripture Writing introduction

Image
Good Morning Ladies today we will be kicking off the month talking about Scripture Writing.   Next week we will 'Dig Into' verse mapping.   For me Scripture Writing is so easy! But I read over and over ladies having a hard time knowing 'How' to get started.   I think the Biggest challenge is to just do it.  There is no right or wrong way.  It is just 'Your Way' whatever is easiest or comes natural to you.  There are no specific tools.  You might read other people's How To's and they talk about Pens and other tools which they are probably selling.  My advice don't get caught up thinking you need a specific pen.  If all you have is your child's broken crayon 'Broken Crayons still work.   I do use a different color each day. Or flip back and forth between 2 colors so that each verse is evident and the verses don't run together.   That is my preference.  Do what you like.   Some times I mark/number each verse.  Sometimes I don't.   I ha
