How To Make a prayer and Scripture Favors Group Ministry Project

This post includes photos and simple cutting and gluing instructions for you to make Ministry Tools called Scripture and Prayer Pockets.

Our group has adopted 3 ministries to send the ones we make.

These are easy and simple.

Please do not feel you have to over embellish.  The more you add the heavier it is and adds to postage.

I over embellish for Amy Lane because I hand deliver.

You may choose to send  to

Amy Lane Prayer Room

Galveston

The Perfect Teapot

Michigan

Junk Journal Ministries

Berea, Kentucky

You may make any size although the sizes you will find in my description seems to work.

The only real rule is you must include at least 1 Bible Verse.

Message Sherry Legan if you have questions.

Examples of finished  Favors

Simple glued on 3 sides.
This is easiest style.
One long strip is cut 10" x 4 1/2.
It is folded up at 4  1/2.
Glue 2 sides.  A contrasting paper is cut at 3 3/4 x 1 3/4.  Corners are rounded then it is applied.   To the inside which is back side of paper.

It is easier to choose a paper that is printed on both sides.  You do not have to add the small strip.

Stamped, a Butterfly added and filled.

Base is 5 3/4 x 4"
A music page 4 x 3 1/4 is glued on 3 sides.
It is cut in the center 2" in folded  on the diagonal.  A flower is added for extra decoration.

Inside a sticker, a collaged Joy journaling or card for Prayer or a verse, a note paper.

The main structure or pocket is about 4 1/2 x 4. I cut two and glued on three sides to form a pocket.
The lace is glued on three sides on to the front to make a pocket.

A stamped Prayer card. A journaling card and the Joy tag were printables gifted to me by Beverly Reynolds. The flower came in a collection of Ephemera pieces I bought at Tuesday Morning.  The striped tag I made with a punch and sewed on lace.  I will add a Scripture Sticker to the back.

Made for The Perfect Tea Pot very girly.  A repurposed guest check.
5 x 4 1/2.  A small pocket glued to front measures about 2 1/2 x width.
The guest check is collaged stamped and inked.
Printables, a printable tag, and a large Butterfly cut out from Dollar Tree.
Faux Rhinestones, lace and fibers added to decorate collage style.

Papers cut to make note cards for Prayer or Scripture Writing.
These are cut to fit into pockets on the favors.

Sizes will vary.   This one measures 4 x 6 and folds in half.

Fall theme for Amy Lane. I will add more and decorate more.  It is stuffed with stickers, printed verse cards, a preprinted purchased tag, an Avocado dyed small envelope and a journaling card decorated with stickers.

This one was made entirely from scraps from another project.
The main structure or base measures 5 x 4 3/4.
Pockets are made by layering different size strips on to of each other.
The brown dot paper is 5x 4 3/4 wide and 4 1/2 tall.
The gold check is 5 x 3/4 x 3"
Orange stripe is 1 3/4 tall by width.
The flower leaves on front is 2" wide.
After all the pieces are layered and glued another piece 5 3/4 x 4 1/2 is glued on back.

Thank you for supporting or ministries by make these so the can share God's Love.
